You can't just ban a certain kind of speech, just because you don't like it.

Show me somewhere in either the Declaration of Independence, or the Constitution of the United States that says that people have a "right" not to be offended.

Personally, I find that the people who run around complaining about being offended, are the shallow, insecure ones who can't handle the fact that some people just don't think like they do.

Agreed... you can't Ban words and any (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s trying to do so should be ignored.

Firing Imus for what he said was asinine..
Firing Imus becasue Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson?..that was a crime.

Al Sharpton did, I don't hear anyone but me complaining about him.

debate? lol, your whole thread is based on bs.

a little google can go a long way, bronco:

al sharpton did what? ban speech? more bs from you. the only thing sharpton did was exercise his own free speech to express his disgust for imus' use of free speech. many agreed it was a dumb move, and money talks. the end.

Again...show me somewhere in the law that states that someone has a "right" not to be offended. Just as Imus had a constitutional right to call a bunch of girls he'd never met before as "nappy headed ho's," Sharpton the Media Whore has a constitutional right to spout off about it.

Al Sharpton and his race-baiter twin, Jesse Jackson, can go up on a mountain and scream how "crackers" are keeping the "brother-man" down, and scream until they're blue in the face. That's their constitutional right. Personally, I think they're both hacks who should shut their whorish mouths. However, that DOESN'T mean that I think there needs to be a law to make them shut their mouths.

If you truly think that laws need to be written to keep people from speaking their minds, then you my friend, are a socialistic totalitarian.

You and Sharpton have equal rights under the constitution. The only difference between you and Sharpton is that he has his own radio show and you don't.

I posted a great article above, and you only respond with, rappers are different. Talk about BS, go change your 'Depends', it's leaking.

Please show me where I wanted a law to ban speech, I only want fairness, as do most Americans, and we as a society should demand it from racists like Sharpton and Jackson. I want radio shows to continue to berate and hammer these two continually.
