That's right. Cleopatra was a a Macedonian Greek of the Ptolemaic Dynasty. They were all descended from Alexander the Great's Satrap for Egypt.

You are half right.There is doubt about Cleopatras parentage, it is possible she was a mixed race.

Anyhow, most of the info on the net assumes she was mixed ethnicity with Greek and native egyptian it doesn't really bother me, she's is a fairly unimportant character. The only reason we europeans make a fuss over her is because she was half european, woopeedoo!
