I would have to say yes, he and his wife tries to use the race card to benefit his campaign.

I also believe that he is proposing to increase aid to Africa by four folds, i am sure that there are people of a lighter skin color that could also use help.

I have been in the South for most of my life and the black politicians look out only for their color, yet the whites politicians have to look out for everyones best interest.

If a black can win the highest office in the land, isn't it time to end Affirmative Action(free black pass), it is a government racist policy, against white males?

That would make Obama only 'half-racist'.

This is ridiculous. The Bill Clinton was the one who brought up race in S. Carolina. Increasing aid to Africa is a humanitarian issue which Bush should do.

Obama is not racist. There is no evidence to imply that he is, only suspicions and insecurities.

Dubya has dumped tons of money on Africa, much more than even Clinton.


We've had Afrikaneers here in PF. They don't want handouts.. they want to be able to buy/produce generic versions of Anti-hiv drugs.. but they can't.

The pharmacos are making a killing.

I have no problems with increasing aid to africa from a national security perspective. The safest thing this country could do is to promote democracy and economic stability around the world, it makes Islamo-fascism and terrorism much less appealing. I don't see this as a racial issue, at all. In simple point of fact, Africa was destabilized by the colonialism of Europe and has never recovered. Destabilized regions = safe harbor for mayhem and terror. Numerous terrorist actions directed at U.S. interests have occurred in Africa.

We have an obligation not only to our own safety, but also from a human rights/well-being perspective to address some of the crises that are occurring in African nations.

Actually, the people who SHOULD be morally obligated to help Africa recover economically are the very same people who raped and pillaged Africa's resources, namely, the old European colonial powers.

But, I find it unlikely that they will step up and fix what they broke. If you look at the most unstable regions of the world, they are all former European colonies.
