That's a really good point. And, that's one of the categories where most of the rest of the first world demolishes the US in comparative studies- preventative care. That may be even more important than emergency care in the big picture.

True. But you can't say someone is affected by something they don't even know. In this case, Barack's paternal ancestors had little to nothing to do with his upbringing. He was raised by white folks who had slaveholding ancestors.


I don't believe slave ancestors have squat to do with blacks who underachieve. Jim Crow laws surely have a much bigger residual effect. With a black president and black officeholders all over the country, it's time to convince children that their skin color is neither an asset nor a hindrance to their future success.
