Default Seperation of church and state

Does anyone find it fair that Churches don't have topay property taxes, but they can get PRIME relistate and build huge buildings for cheap because they don't have to pay the propety tax.

I find seperation of church and state to be very confusing at times.

someone want to justify it, or anyone want to argue WITH me?

dunno, i think it's probably something about the local church being bulldozed by tax collectors that doesn't appeal to religious voters.

Default i hate the subject box

The only separation of church and state specified in the constitution is that the government can not force a religion upon the people that it is governing. All the other stuff we hear about separation of church and state is just a bunch of BS.

But I don't understand how the church/tax stuff works, but it is equal, Mosques, temples, and other religious buildings don't pay taxes either. My guess is because they are non profit organizations working soley off of donations. I am a member of habitat for humanity, and to my knowledge we don't pay taxes on the property or the supplies for the house, but i don't know for sure cause i just raise money and work on the house.

Not-for-Profit corporations pay property taxes if they own property. If they didn't, we'd all generate our own 501c3E's.

Default .

I don't mind churches and such not paying property taxes. Though that's because I view property tax as the government's attempt to rob people of true property ownership by charging rent.

No one should have to pay property taxes.

While I agree that the property tax isn't ideal, how do you propose that municipalities collect taxes?

Precisely so. People love putting words in the writers' mouths.
