In the 1940's, a group of kids began showing signs of having visions and visits from angels and demons. They were able to convince many people that the time of the Apocalypse was near, and that the end of the world, with the coming of the Anti-Christ and the end of all life as we knew it was at hand. Remember that this was during WWII, when the A-Bomb was created, Hitler nearly united Europe under the Nazi banner, and Jews were nearly wiped off the face of the planet.
This is not the first time that someone believed the Anti-Christ had come. Anyone who knows their history, please tell me: did the Anti-Christ come in the 1940's and did the world explode without me knowing it? The answer to that question will most likely be the same to: Is the Anti-Christ here now?

...there are no Muslims here so I vote we bash the gay guy - he already admitted to being the anti-christ, right?

he speaks to God, as does Jerry Falwell.
Maybe they know - could the anti-christ be a gay lesbian mom with a child out of wedlock who belongs to NOW and who is a lawyer working for the ACLU? If not, then at least we can blame these people on all of our natural disasters and for 9/11.....wait, already happened. No, the anti-christ will be a false prophet so he has to come from the evangelical world - how ironic is that? |

Why limit yourself to *one* anti-Christ?

It always appears to be "The end of times"
In many ways these future predictions are a clever mental trick. Make a predictions about a time of turbulence, they make it vague enough to fit any era. Throw in a few evil protagonists, and then allow Human imagination to fill in the gaps. It's a similar trick to reading tarot cards. They are so vague that you use them to say very general things that the "mark" feels are personally about his life, he will duly fill in the gaps that fit to specifics. When he leaves he will feel that the Tarot reader really did have great psychic powers. (in truth, it is just a good skill at fooling people)
