I think people that preach prosperity gospel are charlattans taking advantage of a dumb population.

I guess if you can convince a family to give you all their money that should be legal. But it seems to me real Christians should do more to condemn this very large wing of their religion.

I never hear the big guns of the Christian community attacking the scumbag leeches who steal from poor people.

Some of the major churchs give you the exact formula. (For every dollar you donate, you shall receive 3 back - but only if you give generously and really really believe in it. )

When your Pastor drives a rolls royce, it is not because God loves him, it is because you are a moron.

With all the insite in this post, I am quite surprised that no one responded to it. I think you are spot on!

However, most of the major Christian Evangelical Leadership in this country (pastors of churches larger than 2000 members/4000 attenders) that I have heard, are gracious enough not to mention names, and coragous enough to shout disapproval of prosperity preaching with a very Biblical, unmistakable voice. Try John MacArthur, David Wilkerson and Alistair Begg, for starters. You might also try Stewart Brisco and most of the speakers profiled on the Navigator's website.

But it does tend to give the faith a bad name.
