Default Religious Solicitation

Thoughts on the subject (or solicitation in general), if any.

I have provided some ammo for you:

You are incorrect, per google the phrase mostly unique comes up with over 3 million hits making the use of the phrase not so unique. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search

That’s a very impressive and mature attitude you’ve got there. That’s one of the things people use as an excuse to bash religious people.

BTW, I do not solicit, or even believe in that, I just found your tolerance commendable.

I can’t view your link here at work… maybe someone can clue me in.

Maybe since I’m not bothered by solicitors very often, I’m not sympathetic enough of those offended by it,

but in the scheme of things... I mean, of all the burdens that are thrown on us, and junk we have to watch just to see a TV show, is it really such a biggie?

I'm not sure anyone could put it better.

The fun part about this story is that it's classic "my luck". Just about the time I get one kid in the bath tub, three more of my kids decided they want to get up again and get a drink of water, or repeat a demand for another story. Why can't they just take their afternoon nap like the good little urchins they are??? Then the DOORBELL rings!

Here they are, Elder Bob and Elder John, who just happened to be strolling through the neighborhood and wondered if I had time to sit down and talk about the "golden tablets". Clearly ignoring my John McCain sign on my front lawn.

After reading this story, I wonder if I answered the door shortly after butchering a chicken, while my daughter is screaming bloody murder because her sister just flushed the toilet and the water is hot. I would expect that the two elders would have a very serious "crazed Baptist" flashback and run for the nearest green star, babbling something about their day being ruined.

My take is, that this guy needs to live in the country, get a bigger dog, and stop whining about those nosey neighbors of his. Because they are going to be the ones to help him find that little rodent (min pin) before he gets run over by the big Buick Elder Bob is driving.

And if I could shake the hand of that guy who kept ignoring my plea’s to be left alone, and persisted on trying to convince me that I was too close to the spot where the instructor's toss their "flash/bangs", I would. I am alive today because he didn't listen to me. So when the worms that die not, and the wailing and gnashing of teeth, start to drown out your own screams of agony. Think back on how important Min Pin nails are in comparison.

And just to make this post political. This is a typical Evangelical response to life's little issues. So when the media asks you to shun Mike Huckabee, just because those evil evangelicals are voting for him, take stock that maybe, just maybe they might have a little more grey matter than they give them credit for. (Shout out to persistent door knockers.)

If I had written it, I might need salvation, wouldn't I. I would like to point out how generalization (stereotyping) works with this post. It is something there should not be in politics. Thank you.

i wasnt asked to shun him, and my decision isnt necessarily about who his supporters are. but when the guy says, "I don't separate my faith from my personal and professional lives." the line is drawn. i cant trust someone to control our country when it comes second to their religion.

What is wrong with Mike Huckabee being a strong Christian?

There is nothing wrong with it, as he clearly explained; Huckabee's personal life is politics which should not be mixed with religion. (Or we have another Virgil Goode on our hands)
