Also, since the Native Americans did not know about Jesus until the Europeans arrived, what was the point of wasting the Lord's time with them? A Mormon explained to me that because of their sin, knowledge of Jesus was taken away. Well, that makes no sense. The Great Commission was to spread the word to all people. If Jesus bothered to go around the world (post resurrection, even) for the benefit of His American friends, is God just so powerless or clueless that He lets his efforts be wasted?
different destruction this one occured about 600 B.C. which was around the time of Lehi's death.

We are allowed to be tempted to prove our willingness to serve god in any situation so when the Native Americans denied God he withdrew his presence from them and the regressed into following false gods and Idols but they still kept the story of Jesus in the americas alive in their oral traditions

Nope, I think you are the one that didn't read carefully.
  • Neophyte: A novice. A beginner. An inexperienced person.
  • Nephite: A fictional group of people purported to have lived in South America somewhere around the 1st Century.

Please get your facts strait.

The statement was made: The Mormons believe that Jesus and Satan are "brothers". Mitt viewed that as an attack, and you squished out of saying such a thing directly by saying, "aren't we all brothers?" When the official doctrine of the Mormon Church is that Mr. and Mrs. God procriated and had two powerful sons, Jesus and Satan. The squishy answers I get when making that observation, I feel are dishonest.
I told you we believe that Jesus and Lucifer were two brothers from the same heavenly parents that to me seems quite direct.

How does Neophyte fit in with my debate? And the Nephites were not a fictional group.

Where does it say, "I will be OVER the most high!" This is the same stuff that I have been complaining about. Spin, spin, spin, spin, spin, spin...

Just like, "It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is. If the--if he--if 'is' means is and never has been, that is not--that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement....Now, if someone had asked me on that day, are you having any kind of sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky, that is, asked me a question in the present tense, I would have said no. And it would have been completely true." William Jeferson Clinton

Come on! Listen to yourself. You sound like you want your religion more than the truth.

US Grant, it's kind of silly to demand that a Mormon discuss his faith by sticking to the King James Bible and not allowing him to quote from Mormon scripture.

No many Non mormons May make it to the celestial kingdom and I think I see where my mistake was in not explaining the nature of the celestial kingdom. The celestial kingdom is divided into three more kingdoms. The highest degree in which is for the people who have lived their entire lives for God and furthering his work, gotten sealed to their family for eternity and will become gods. The second degree is for those who are righteous as those in the first degree yet remain unsealed ans the third is for the angels of heaven that will assist the god in his work and Glory as the second degree.

As for Abraham it may or may not be the same scroll who is to say.
When you stop trusting the FARMS spin doctors, and land with your feet firmly planted on the ground, tell how an antiquities seller who defauded his benefactors of the payment Joseph Smith made to him, qualifies as a "messenger of God".

And what does this mean?>>

Are you Tom Cruise and when did you become a Mormon?

Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

This was your post now that doesn't sound to me like lucifer wants to share power equally with god.

If a Mormon quotes his own scripture, you might think that he would cite it properly. However, in the context of this arguement, we both have a common ground. We both believe that the KJV is inspired text. So by calling it out, I am holding the discussion to a commonly recognized standard.

The BOM pales when compared to the Bible. In circulation, in scrutiny, in consistancy, and in archeology. The BoM dies a little each time an Archeologist examines the evidence, where as, wheneven a shovel goes into the ground in the middle east, another Biblical critic is burried. To make the two to have equal footing is intellectually dishonest. 66 books writen by 40 authors, accross a great deal of time and opposition isn't even in the same league as a book that has been edited many times and fashioned to fit the whims of the body of presidents in Salt Lake.
