Actually, he didn't say that. He said that it was representative of the Republican base, which is not the same thing as saying that it's representative of all Republicans. He made a generalization, you're describing something more absolute.

I've been curious about that, myself. Does it describe the Republican base? Does the Republican party generally equate Muslims with terrorism? Or is it just the ones around here?

Also -- even if he were a hypocrite, that wouldn't devalue his argument on a logical basis. You can be a hypocrite and still be accurate.
