You could ask why to practically anything, why did God, do this that and the other. A famous poet once wrote 'Ours is to do and die, and not ask why.' Sorry I can't remember the name of the poet, but I thougt it appropriate here.

"From the charge of the light brigade" by Alf Tennyson. Personally being an athiest I thought it was tight underpants.

The poem was about the crimean war, both sides cut each other to bits, the only common thread was that the chaplains on either side prayed to the same God to give victory religion is "cant" and "hypocricy" and dont give me the usual " force majeure" crap that its not God but priests who do evil, tell that to the Irish boy who had his arse torn apart by an employee of the Lord
