Time honored!? Considering the fact that doctrine from the bible itself changes depending on which church you go to I do not see it as time honored.

Yes I do not have good grammar online but as I see neither do you Name is not capitalized unless it is at the beginning of a sentance. Anyway I think that God has better things to do than to condemn everyone who doesn't capitalize proper nouns.

Just in case you forgot: Jesus IS alive, therefore He IS the ONLY Son of God.

I use the word "only" because the Bible says "only".

BACK ON TOPIC: In the begining, God established authority in men, to govern the affairs of people. The death penalty is a perfectly understandable means to ensure justice is meated out to offenders who deserve that level of attention. I don't think He ever is quoted making a statement that directly addressed this issue.
I do agree that Jesus is alive as it is a fundament of my religion but it seems to me like you are making mountains out of molehills. Slight mistakes in grammar are nothing at all in the grand scheme of things. I am referring to post-birth christ while he was walking among the Jews. In this sense he WAS the son of god then just as much as he is the son of god now.

(I also don't believe that Jesus would attack people so vehemently with nonsense. He could logically Debate without resorting to character attacks.)

Therefore, if Jesus = God, and "all" scripture is "God-breathed", then wouldn't it be accurate to say that Jesus dictated the whole Bible?
Tell me what religion are YOU?

In my religion we do believe that all scriptures from the bible and book of mormon speak of Jesus and are spoken by Jesus through the prophets. so you see to me I am using the words of Jesus in proper context. Apparently some Christians do not realize that Jesus and Jehovah are one and the same. Jesus who gave us the Ten Commandments, and who said, "Whoever sheds man's blood, by man his blood shall be shed, for in the image of God He made man" (Genesis 9:6).
For the sake of this discussion, let us limit ourselves to the words of the 'Historical Jesus' exclusively.

He's in favor of torture? Ya think? Hmm dunno'bout that..

Jesus did afterall cry out "Father, Forgive them for they know not what they do", as he was being tortured.

I will try but I don't think that he commented directly on such issues.

It was a joke as in: 'The scriptures have been tortured by countless theologians and hacks alike'. If Jesus is truly responsible for every word of Scripture, then He is also responsible for the gross and continuous misunderstanding and abuse of Scripture.
