As I said, Jesus was a Great Zen Master. If you examine his words in this light, it is clear that "Christians" have simply misunderstood Jesus in the extreme. I believe that he would not be pleased to see what his example created in the Christian Church. In my opinion, it represents almost everything he taught was wrong.

I would be interested to have a Christian debate this with me.

There is a book you might enjoy 'Living Buddha Living Christ' written by a buddhist monk.

I've read it a couple times.

There is also a book which compares the saying of Jesus to the saying of the Buddha, I don't recall the name but again, you might enjoy it.

The best book I have read about the subject, and it is a very uplifting and enjoyable read, is the Zen Teachings of Jesus by Kenneth S. Leong.

I would debate that with you. Since the Catholic church can trace itself all the way back to Jesus and the other Christian churches can trace their way to the Catholic church, I think Christian Churches accurately reflect what Jesus taught.

I must say your view is very intriguing, and definitely worth learning about.

I always find it extremely interesting to examine the words of Jesus. Where to start? Did Jesus not say, "The kingdom of God is within you? and that "The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed ; nor will they say, 'Lo, here it is!' or 'There!' for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you?"

In my opinion, Jesus was clearly saying there was no need for a Church at all.
