Do you think it is fair to say that Jesus shifted/changed/reformed the laws of Moses from specific, exacting rules to more general principles, often focusing on attitudes rather than actions, for instance "But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you"? Do you believe that imperfect human beings can truly love their enemies like themselves?

Its true that he offered these laws, which did focus on attitudes. However, he gave us these because if you follow them, you will follow the other laws.

If you love your neighbor, you won't murder, steal from, or harm your neighbor. If you love God, you will keep the sabbath, pray to him, and do what he calls you to do. If you love yourself you won't abuse substances, or commit suicide.

Thats the idea, but he didn't replace the laws.

I think we can, because there have been people to accomplish that, however, its very difficult and 99.9% of us don't.

It takes a sort of Buddhist detachment from the self and emotion to love your enemy. Either that or some moral revelation I just haven’t come to recognize.

Be honest with yourself and us now. You truly believe that an imperfect human being can, in a perfect way, love all others, including their enemies, as they love themself? And, if this is a rule, which if followed is truly the only rule, what is the punishment for failing to live up to this perfect standard? Did Jesus say there was a punishment? If Jesus knew we couldn't possibly live up to this standard, why did he put it in the form of a rule to replace/substitute all others?

When a child is born it has two parents and Jesus' case he is the son of God and the son of Man.

Was Mary not his mother? Because Mary is his mother he can be called the Son of Man(kind). Because he is God's word then he is also the son of God and the Word of God who walked the Earth.

Didn't Mohummed admit that some of his verses had to be destroyed because those were given to him by the devil? So when he was writing these verses down he couldn't tell if he was listening to an angel or a devil and why should we not respect the Koran as the word of Satan?
