For pure, cheesy, dragon-related fun, try "Reign of Fire." Apaches, M1s and parajumpers vs. dragons. Not to mention plenty of catty remarks between the Brits and the Americans.

ooohyah seen it a couple of times. Luved it. Gonna have to add it to collection.

My only nitpick is how their armored column got wiped out too easily. Hero guy was suppose to be badass soldier yet blundered into a killzone set up by... doh, giant flying lizards.

Earlier, you mentioned that you dont' watch TV and that you read.

Now it is obvious that you know nothing about science, but did you ever do any reading on what other scientist say about the works of:

Andrew Snelling
and
Russel Humphreys.

Since you claim to read so much, I guess you are aware that most of their work has been throughly debunked using science.

Furthermore, since you are an avid reader and have done "the research", why did you link a pro-creation website whose sole contributers who are people whose work has been proven beyond doubt to:

a) Be incorrect and proven so.
b) Falsified or made up data. Snelling got nailed on this one.

For example I am sure that you read this article that conclusively disproves the work of Humphreys. http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/helium/zircons.html

I have to wonder, when you say you "read" to get your information, do you only read one side of the argument or do you read BOTH sides, and then make conclusion based on rationality?

For example, If I were only to read "Satanist" literature, I might have a very skewed idea about Christianity. I would believe all kinds of things that would prove to be undeniably false.

Ixtellor

P.S. I theorize that you actually don't do much independant reading at all. You probably just read:
a) What your told to.
b) things that agree with your preordained ideologies.

P.P.S. Don't worry, people used to think the earth was flat. But there is hope. Its called "EDUCATION". Its free and anyone can do it.

P.P.P.S. WARNING - Do NOT visit this website:

www.Jesus_was_married_to_hitler.com

You might come away believing jesus was married to hitler. And this wasn't true. (Just like the website you linked)

Yes, I do watch TV (too much my wife says) and yes I read both sides of the playing field, I am aware of Snelling and Humphreys. The question in this string was, “are dinosaurs in the Bible”? It’s obvious you have to much time on your hands to write such an elaborate post, or maybe you just want to get your “hurray for me” award by attacking me like you did. I was answering this question with my belief in the Bible and the research I have learned.

Thank you for your concern about my education I do appreciate it.

Oops forgot to add this too. Every scientist is proven right or wrong. It all depends on who contributes to there research and who agrees or disagrees on it. If you have big money makers or high powered officials on your side then I guess your stuff is going to be right and everybody else is wrong. Again that is my opinion.

The difference is:

When a real scientist is proven wrong, he accepts the data and adjusts his thesis.
Its like Super Massive Black Holes.

Some scientists said "no such thing"
Then they did reserach and BAM, we find them.
So those scientists say "ok I was wrong, they exist."

There is no actual scientist sticking to the premise they don't exist because THEY Do exist.

The scientists you took your "research" from.
Say "the earth is 6000 years old"
Then the science proves them wrong beyond doubt.
So they make up ad hoc explanations or ignore the irrefutable data.
(In snells case, they just make things up)

You seem to believe that you need a lot of money and a big corporation on your side to "win" the argument.

That is total BS.

The only thing that "wins" scientific arguments, is empirical data/evidence.

Its like the guy (whose name I forget) who said "I can build a very cheap and very powerful super computer.
The "rich" guys said "no you can't"

He did it using off the shelf desk top computers.

BAM. The REAL scientists said "you are right, we are WRONG"

1) Billions of people believe in the Koran. It doesn't make them right.
2) You say you read both sides of the playing field. So are you aware that all of Snelling and Humphrey's YE theories have been catagorically proven wrong?

Were you aware that Snelling has published many other articles that complete refute his young earth position?

And if you already knew this, why do you still believe their work? And why did you link it as "evidence" on these forums?

I THEORIZE that you have not read any opposing viewpoints to your own.

If you have read all the critiques, why on earth would you continue to rely on the work of S and H?
Do you have some compelling evidence that their claims are actually true, and that the data against them is false?

Admitting you are wrong on an anonymous forum is OK. I have done it several times on this very forum. I adamently argued for postion X only to find that it was totally false. (See Daryl Hannah, See WaMu NOT Wachovia)

I manned up and admitted my error. But then, my entire belief system will not come crumbling down when and if I am proven wrong on anything.

Just like a scientist I adapt and accept the truth.

Ixtellor

P.S. For fun, look up Creationist arguments for why we can see the light from stars that are millions of light years away. (i.e. If the earth is only 6000 years old, how can we see light from 5 million light years away, being that it would take 5 million light years to reach earth... )

P.P.S. I should say, check out their ad hoc arguments.
