If you believe in purpose, you believe in God.

A person doesn't have to have faith specifically in a Christian God or Allah or Vishnu or Zeus,
but man (human beings) seek purpose.

We are not satisfied with mere survival, we explore, we question, we seek.

Those are my thoughts on the subject, as I say the alternative is rather bleak.

Busy bees attending to the hive do a fine job without God, without faith, without self-awareness of their eventual demise.

We are not bees.

We have been endowed with a gift from Nature/Evolution/Chaos/God...whatever you want to call it.

Cognition.

We are able to ponder our own existence and it's eventual demise.

That's what science does! It explores, it questions, it seeks. But it comes up with tangible answers.

Sometime they are. Sometimes they are not.

science cant disprove god.. but is sure as hell tries to stay away from that question. it doesnt explore, it doesnt question, it doesnt seek.. in order for science to be relevant, you have to have faith in it. many scientists feel just idealogical baout science as much as religious people feel about religion. can you prove science exists?

im atheist. i dont dismiss anything as an impossibility. i dont dismiss any god yet i dont accept any either. i acknowledge that there is a possibility and that there isnt.

That sounds more like Agnostic.
