From the article: "We have been persecuted for our religion," Kathleen said. "We are being treated like the Jews were when they were escorted to the German Nazi camps."
----Uh? Yeah the Jews didn't have bedrooms upstairs in the Synagogue so older men could have sex with 13 year old girls.
Even if only a few people were participating in this, they PUT A ROOM FOR IT IN THE CHURCH! Everyone living in a closed society like that new the score, they are all culpable. Even if they didn't directly participate they were apathetic to something they all knew was happening.
Beyond that, it is incredibly insulting to the seriousness of the Holocaust to drag that out as a comparison to civil criminal activity. The FLDS isn't being executed. Their children are being taken into protective custody, most of which will probably be returned eventually, and most likely they will all be continuing on with business as normal in the near future. To try to use the death of 6 million people as a tool to muster up sympathy in a totally different situation only furthers the public's view that the sect is a morally bankrupt organization.
Cry me a river.........
