Although I think it should be illegal for a 24 year-old to have sex with a 16 year-old, I also do not classify it as "child molestation". At 16 people are already having sex and have reached the age of sexual, if not actual, maturity. Yes, it is exploitation. And we should certianly have some legal penalties for those who do it, but it's not child molestation.

Life expectancy in the past was higher than today. The reason why some statistics say otherwise is due to infant mortality rates. Because some babies died very young it affected the average but once passed the 1st year people in the past lived longer and healtheir.

Mohammed had sex with a 9-year-old girl. This is the basis of a tradition of female molestation that dates back a thousand years. Women in these scenarios are uneducated and without rights. They cannot rescue themselves. They lack economic skills. This is happening around the world, and in the U.S.

It's time to start telling the truth about it, even if it offends people.

Is this unique to Islam?

By the way, in the bible, Lot had sex with his daughters.

That's not really what I meant. His daughters were imgregnated by him without him being aware of it, so it's difficult to blame him for that. That's like blaming Judah for knowingly impregnating Tamar. If you wanted to document immoral behavior of Lot's, you could start with his intent to sacrifice his daughter to the rapists in Sodom and Gomorrah.

So there is documented immoral behavior in the Koran and the Bible?

I could not agree more.

To say that Islam is bad because of an incident in a 1500 year old text is to ignore incidents in a 1700 year old text.
