Default What Religion Really Is

Do you know why older men hide behind religion. Do you know why Evil men qoute the Bible and the Quran. I do. They believe some Infinite force allows them to hurt and brain wash others. This means your Evil Muslim Men in their caves are deceptive and dangerous. They are though only dangerous to people who choose to worry about the innevitable something they cannot escape. Its not just in the Muslim religion either its fairly common in the Christan religion as well. As they bash Homosexuality.

you completely scare me. your clear definition between good and evil reminds me of an old age adage of wisdom. "only a sith deals in absolutes".

Religion is a tool to keep the rabble in line. It is a tool to blunt some of life's harshest truth, especially for the poor.

If it sustains you, if it helps you get through the day, then I don't see any problem in it. I'm not gonna be one to break the news to some old grandma on her death bed, especially if faith is what maintains her sanity.

They aren't consciously trying to hurt people. That sort of thing is only done by those at the top with power and ambitions.

QFT

seriously, religion really is the opiate of the masses, but that's okay. for some people their faith in whatever religion is the only thing getting them through their day then more power to them. until it become fanatical and extreme, religion is a GOOD thing

Yup. Much like alcohol or drugs, religion is just a different form of escapism.
