I've always found the binding od Isaac to be problematic, since what kind of loving God (*)(*)(*)(*)s with people like that? Seems pretty sick to get your jollies from forcing a mere mortal to go through with some mock ritual murder.

The story of Abraham willing to sacrifice his son was kind of like a precursor to what God would be willing to do with his son in Jesus.

At least, that's what I think.

I don't so much think Abraham was a child abuser so much as a madman. He did ultimately decide not to sacrifice his kid.
But he just listened to those voices in his head.

But if we're to take the bible at face value and assume those voices belonged to some psychotic patriarchal deity... I think God was the real child abuser, toying with his creation's emotions for no reason other than complete CONTROL.
That is the very definition of domestic abuse.

I took the situation from the bible and placed it in a modern template for humor value and to accentuate the double standard between God's Old Testament behavior and the behavior of an abusive father/husband.
Most of the behaviors God shows in the Old Testament would be considered horrible in any person by a modern lens. Back in those days of patriarchal budding Judaism, that was the normal father figure.
