We've been on the muslims short list for a while, and yet all we do is apologize for being a nation that promotes freedoms that are otherwise unknown to the world. Where else in the world do a religious group use religious freedom to try and destroy the country that provides the freedom?

What the hell?!? Honestly, being a dhimmi does not appeal to me! I enjoy the freedoms I get, but if all America is going to do is bend over backwards just to avoid pissing off some cavemen with Ak-47's, our freedoms won't last!

The current fascist government of the United States has taken away far more of your freedoms than "Muslims". In fact no Muslims have taken any freedoms away from you.

Apparently, Regulus, my good man, you have not spent much time outside the United States. If you had you'd know that the American freedom thing is now largely a myth in western europe.

As to our nation "giving freedom", I suggest you burn a little midnight oil and review the U.S. actions and policies regarding the Middle East in the last 50 years. Hell, throw in a South America as well in your reading. Get back to me when you are ready to talk about the United States providing freedom. You've spent way too much time watching Faux News and listening to people who are apparently very stupid. Read, use a bit of deductive reasoning and get yourself up to speed.

Have you ever heard the term cultural relativism? These people are fighting for their freedoms. The US government is taking far more from you than you realize, i.e. your ability to assess the mid-east situation on your own. While you belittle the culture of some 1.3 billion people, some of us are attempting to understand the world from their perspective in an effort to better all of our lives.
If anyone is a caveman, it is you; allowing the governmentt to, through the media, keep you in the dark about the reality of what is going on over there. People who you perceive as evil are, in their minds, doing what is right.
