Religion and faith are not bad or evil. They are necessary, human, emotionally-based, thought processes.

All organized religions seem to have an inherent tendency to create divisions (believers vs non-believers, good vs evil, etc) as people get caught up in petty squabbles over myths and dogmas.

Religion is not bad. Organized religion is dangerous because fundamentalism is militantly ignorant and bigoted.

All organized religions have fundamentalist sects, all of which are dangerous schisms.

I am an atheist of long standing, my increasing age has not altered my lack of belief.

I think it has something to do with my age as I do not want to go into the blackness yet, I may add that death does not frighten me, I just feel happy to be alive at the moment!

I have no real reason to be offended by faith, I thought I had no reason to be offended by religion, until I read some of the rather if I may say vitriolic letters here by people who claim to be religious.

I asked my son who Mr Dobson is, he showed me some of this persons speaches.

If I ever had a doubt I will think of Mr Dobson, and all will be back to normal, it is against my dignity to comment more about that little pip squeak!

Christianity. I know many will disagree, but I voted for it because I like Islam as a religion. I have never met a Muslim I didn't like, so I find it hard to have something against Islam as a whole.

Islam, by far. Muslims have a tendency to believe everything that is written their holy books. Even the parts about killing infidels.

The Christians have kinda lost their way, and don't really believe that The Bible is the word of god. They ignore the ugly parts, and embrace it more as a tradition. For this reason, Christianity is safer, in my opinion.

These days. But on the whole, throughout history, both religions have a high body count and ample blood on their hands.

If placed in the deadly cube from the movie Cube with four companions--an atheist, a Christian, a Muslim, and a guy who just wanted to get the hell out--you can guess who I'd choose.

Why wouldn't the atheist want to get out?
