So you can rule out that Santa doesn't fly around in a sleigh delivering toys? What evidence can you provide on this? (Coca Cola was not the origin of that part of the story.) According to you if you can't prove it to be false you can't rule it out. Is it false, or do you seriously entertain the notion that Santa flies around in a sleigh delivering toys? Do you seriously entertain the notion that Santa flies in a sleigh, and delivers toys? You're disproving your own idea here. Quit playing games, and give an honest answer. Last edited by orbamn; 07-21-2008 at 01:01 PM. |

Hello Justice Strike? Where are you? Since you played so many intellectually dishonest games with the first example. Let's try a second example.
Do you seriously entertain the notion that leprechauns exist? Really? Will it result in more of your game playing, or just ignoring the thread because you know you've been proven wrong here? |

There are an infinite number of "things" that "could" exist....green fairies who dance on your pillow while you sleep.....tiny fat men in pink tutu's who live in our mattresses....the flying spaghetti monster....tooth fairy....jack frost...purple people eaters and so on.
The truth is that we dont believe these things to be real because no evidence exists to show they DO. If a great deal of people got behind even just ONE of those ideals and claimed to believe in it...then all the sudden just by sheer mob mentality it all the sudden becomes "valid" and "worthy of belief" even though not a shred of evidence exists. If a belief in something like this is held by a very small number of people...they are viewed as looney and possibly mentally ill. If a large number of people believe, then its sacred. But when you boil it down, believing in purple people eaters is no more looney than believing in a creator or god. Neither has ANY evidence to back it up, the only difference is in the amount of people who "believe". |
