Default The DEUTERONOMY prophecies Part 1

The DEUTERONOMY prophecies are prophecies directly in relation to the previous books and later books. I finally found concrete evidence where Prophet Ishmael's(pbuh) lineage has been given a promise which plays a role equally with Prophet Isaac's(peace be upon him) covenant. First, the role of the "Great Nation" which is a title given to three distinct people throughout the Bible. The "Great Nation" title given to the Bablyonians is a role destined by G-d to punish the Jewish violators of the covenant of the First Temple. Nevertheless, all three are designated; The Jewish nation, the Arab nation and the Babylonians(Jeremiah 6:22-26). However, only one is given a "Great Promise" and this "Great Nation" is the people of Prophet Ishmael(peace be upon him) - The Arabs. The book of DEUTERONOMY contains prophecies deriving from the Books of EXODUS, LEVITICUS and NUMBERS mostly. For DEUTERONOMY is mostly a review of those three books(EXODUS,LEVITICUS, and NUMBERS).

The first prophecy I would like to elaborate on are the prophecies which positively identify Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) and the Arab nation. The word given to Prophet Ishmael(peace be upon him) is "Promise" which is contained in a verse describing many nations coming from within his father(Prophet Abraham)(Peace be upon him). Another word that would identify future prophecy is the word "Brethren". Both words "Great Nation" and "Brethren" is crucial in understanding and identifying prophecies within the Bible.

GENESIS 18:18

" seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? "

GENESIS 17:20

" And as for Ish'ma-el, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation."

GENESIS 21:18

" Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation."

Ofcourse, the "Twelve Princes" are given later including their lands ( GENESIS 25:16-18 & 1st Chronicles 1:28-33 ). So, is this the fulfillment of the promise of the "Great Nation" ?

And even "Brethren" is used:

GENESIS 16:11-12

11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ish'ma-el; 8 because the LORD hath heard thy affliction.
12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him: and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

GENESIS 25:16-18

" these are the sons of Ish'ma-el, and these are their names, by their towns, and by their castles; twelve princes according to their nations.
17 And these are the years of the life of Ish'ma-el, a hundred and thirty and seven years: and he gave up the ghost and died, and was gathered unto his people.
18 And they dwelt from Hav'ilah unto Shur, that is before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria: and he died in the presence of all his brethren."

I ask again, is this the fulfillment and the only role of the Arab "brethren" and "Great Nation"?

No, there is a suprising sequel and it is contained in the books of EXODUS and NUMBERS. The first evidence will be presented and the next evidence will be a corroboration of the first.

EXODUS 32:8-10

8 they(Jewish Nation) have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
9 And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:
10 now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.

Yes, the word or term "Great Nation" also describes the Jewish nation in the Book of Genesis. However, the terms "Against" repeated several times and "Consume them" is repeated dramatically once again in the Book of Numbers. Those terms were used when G-d punished the tribe/nation of Isreal in the Book of Numbers many times. For instance; NUMBERS 16:20-21,

20 ¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
21 Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment. "

Let us continue and explain that the term "Great Nation" mentioned in EXODUS 32:10 is not an accident nor something bizarre with an allegorical meaning refering to the tribe/nation of Israel. For the next evidence would clear all doubts on this matter.

NUMBERS 14:11-12

11 And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have showed among them?
12 I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee a greater nation and mightier than they.

This must be an accident? No, It is not. This is a connection with EXODUS 32:10 ! Therefore, this could not be explaining the Egyptians which are talked about in the next verse or verses. EXODUS 32:10 are supposedly the exact words of G-d the almighty on Mount Sinai according to the Old Testament. Now, when the children of Israel continued in their disobedience G-d repeats his message of another "Great Nation" and "Mightier than they(Israel)". EXODUS 32:10 has been explained by NUMBERS 14:11-12 which now points to another "Great Nation". Ofcourse, DEUTERONOMY 4:6 says Israel is a "Great Nation" but this is also explained in the Book of Genesis. Again, many others were also designated the tite: "Great Nation".

EXODUS 32:10 and NUMBERS 14:11-12 is an eye opener for any Bible believer and it is a suggestion that there is a strong possibility of another "Great Nation" promised to lead the way for the salvation of humanity through a new and improved orders from G-d. How is this possible? Remember, that the books of EXODUS, LEVITICUS and NUMBERS are summarized somewhat in the BOOK of DEUTERONOMY. Therefore, the idea of the PROPHECIES of EXODUS 32:10 and NUMBERS 14:11-12 must be explained and/or repeated in the Book of DEUTERONOMY. Again, the Book of Deuteronomy also contains other prophecies concerning other prophets.

To identify again that EXODUS 32:10 and NUMBERS 14:11-12 is explaining the Arab Nation and therefore Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) we would need to observe the events in the book of Joshua(pbuh).

I would not exclude nor omit the role of Prophet Joshua(pbuh). Therefore, it is true that Joshua(pbuh) is also hinted in DEUTERONOMY but so are other prophets(pbu, them). But to further find evidence of the future role of the Arab nation we would need to visit the Book of Joshua(pbuh) this great prophet. For in the book of Joshua(pbuh) it sadly state the continuing disobedience of the tribe/nation of Israel because of some of them worshipping pagan idols. Also, this evidence explains a fulfillment of a DEUTERONOMY prophecy :

JOSHUA 24:22-26

22 And Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you the LORD, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses.
23 Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the LORD God of Israel.
24 And the people said unto Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.
25 So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and set them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem.
26 And Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God, and took a great stone, and set it up there under an oak, that was by the sanctuary of the LORD.

*(Verse 26 has fulfilled a prophecy in DEUTERONOMY Chapter 17 and this would be explained later.)

The next profounding evidence from this book is that the land is given to all of those who are part of the Abrahamic covenant of circumcision(Genesis 17:6- but also that it is a warning for the tribe/nation of ISREAL which ofcourse has been carried out through the hands of the Babylonians(The other designated "Grea Nation"(JEREMIAH 6:22-26)).

JOSHUA 23:12-16

12 Else, if ye do in any wise go back, and cleave unto the remnant of these nations, even these that remain among you, and shall make marriages with them, and go in unto them, and they to you:
13 know for a certainty that the LORD your God will no more drive out any of these nations from before you; but they shall be snares and traps unto you, and scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until ye perish from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.
14 ¶ And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.
15 Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things, until he have destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.
16 When ye have transgressed the covenant of the LORD your God, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them; then shall the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and ye shall perish quickly from off the good land which he hath given unto you.

This has been said and everyone could read it for themselves. This proves that the tribe/nation of Israel and principle of Zionism is temporary. Therefore, this is also a sign that another nation is destined to replace the tribe/nation of Israel.

The evidence of the above paragraph is contained in the Book of JEREMIAH. The mentioning of the tribe/nation of KEDAR( GENESIS 25:13 & 1st CHRONICLES 1:29 ) is in relation to the Arab Nation. It is known that KEDAR is related to Prophet Ishmael(pbuh) - The figure of the Arab Nation. For in the Book of Jeremiah it states two nations - The Romans/Greeks and Kedar. Remember, that the nation/tribe of Israel has been disobedient previously throughout the years before Prophet Jeremiah(pbuh). G-d repeats his disgust with the nation/tribe of Israel again in the beginning of JEREMIAH chapter 2. I will now post the relevant text concerning "Kedar":

JEREMIAH 2:9-13

9 ¶ Wherefore I will yet plead with you, saith the LORD, and with your children's children will I plead.
10 For pass over the isles of Chittim(Romans/Greek area), and see; and send unto Kedar(The land of the descenedant of Prophet Ishmael(pbuh)), and consider diligently, and see if there be such a thing.
11 Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.
12 Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD.
13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

* After reading the Book of Joshua and the rest of the Old Testament I now could understand the meaning of the above JEREMIAH passage clearly. This is a fulfillment of a promise given to Prophet Ishmael(pbuh) earlier and also an overwhelming fulfillment of EXODUS 32:10 and NUMBERS 14:11-12 and also the warning give in the book of Joshua(pbuh)!

However, it is also known in the book of JEREMIAH Chapter 49 and other passages in the Book of ISAIAH concerning "Kedar" are negative but these events also happened already. Nevertheless, there is another prophecy which is strickingly positive - ISAIAH 60:7

7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebai'oth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.

However, the terms are similarily implied "The house of my Glory" is in reference to the prophecy under the promise given to Prophet ZERUBBABEL(pbuh). Why? Read HAGGAI Chapter 2:2-3

" Speak now to Zerub'babel the son of She-al'ti-el, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jos'edech, the high priest, and to the residue of the people, saying,
Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing? "

ISAIAH 66:2

" For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word. "

The reason for the posting of the previous verses was to explain certain prophecies were already fulfilled. Therefore, JEREMIAH Chapter 2 concerning "Kedar" is a prophecy connected with Prophet Jesus(pbuh) supposedly sayings in the "Gospels". While, JEREMIAH chapter 49 and the book of ISAIAH prophecy concerning "Kedar" was fulfilled during the time of the Babylonian invasion and during the time of the Second Temple under the leadership of Prophet Zerubbbabel(pbuh).

One thing must be explained, the symbolic use of "Figs" and "Fig Tree" is hinting or implying the tribe/nation of Israel. This imagery of the "Figs" and "Fig Tree" will be the very reason for the change to another "Great Nation".

Here the "Figs" are postively identified as the tribe/nation of Israel:

JEREMIAH Chapter 24 -

1 The LORD showed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the LORD, after that Nebuchadrez'zar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconi'ah the son of Jehoi'akim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon. ( 2nd Kings 24:12-16 & 2 Chronicles 36:10 )
2 One basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad.
3 Then said the LORD unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.
4 ¶ Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
5 Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chalde'ans for their good.
6 For I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.
7 And I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the LORD; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.
8 ¶ And as the evil figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so evil; surely thus saith the LORD, So will I give Zedeki'ah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and them that dwell in the land of Egypt:
9 and I will deliver them to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth for their hurt, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places whither I shall drive them.
10 And I will send the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, among them, till they be consumed from off the land that I gave unto them and to their fathers.

* Above we have positive proof of the use of "Figs" to identify the tribe/nation of Israel. Now, we have another verse which would use the term "Fig Tree": *

JEREMIAH 8:13

" I will surely consume them, saith the LORD: there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them. "

*Everyone this is astounding, we have three identifying words:*

" CONSUME " , " FIGS " & " Fig Tree "

* Remember, NUMBERS 16:22

" Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment. "
