I'm a Jew who goes to a Catholic university. I recently discovered that if I ever was to convert to Christianity I would be a catholic because I could not accept the protestant belief of faith alone for salvation, as luther taught. But here are a few questions NO ONE, even priests have been able to properly answer.
The Jewish Messiah is suppoed to bring peace on earth. Jesus was proclaimed the messiah. But there is not peace on earth? I'm confused. Why am I punished for the sins/mistakes of Adam and Even, people I have never known and who lived so long ago? What does it mean that Jesus died for our sins? If I sound condescending, I don't mean to. Thats simply how the question ended up being phrased. Thanks |

Those are some pretty tough questions for laypersons to attempt to answer. I suggest through prayer and study, you can find the answers, or perhaps you already know a person you trust to ask.
I must correct the notion that protestants believe faith alone can save. http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/...0;&version=31; This is a wonderful link to the different Bible translations. You may be surprised where faith will lead you.
