The "Crossing" happened by the Gulf of Aqabah. The real Mount Sinai(Tur) is in Arabia.

I sincerely appreciate your concern and the Deuteronomy reference. After reading the verses, it makes sense to me now why Jews and Muslims refuse to accept Jesus as the Messiah. It doesn’t change my personal belief that Jesus is the Son of God, but it has given me something to think about.
