A Christian would point out to you, first, that all you've quoted was the Old Testament, and Christians are governed by the New Testament (although it's easy to get a different impression from those who are obsessed about spreading The Ten Commandments all over public property like pigeon poop).
As it happens, there's nothing in the New Testament to warrant worshipping on a Mithraic holy day, SUNday, either. Your argument would have been more effective if you had pointed THAT out.

Clara,
I am aware of this fact. If we look into the New Testament we would see that Paul was in the Synagogue and observing the Sabbath. This is noted in the Book of ACTS. So, technically a Christian would have to follow the Sabbath rules and then meet on Sunday. Sunday was the day after and they leaders of the Pauline group and early Christians of Jewish origins met each other on that Day. Otherwords, Sunday was simply a meeting day. Paul telling Non-Jewish Christians to NOT observe the Sabbath and Moon days would contradict the Acts but then anyone could have interpreted to mean that you should not BE FORCED to observe them if you do not want to do so. James, the supposed the half-brother of Jesus(pbuh),observed the these days and even told Paul to rescind his orders concerning the observation of the Sabbath. This is located in ACTS 15:19-21 Quote:

I actually know many seventh-day adventists and eventhough i'm agnostic I would have to say if any group of christians are going to heaven it would be the seventh-day adventists. I don't know if all seventh-day adventists are like this, but the seventh-day adventists I know are the only ones who actively make christianity a part of their everyday life, they read the bible alot and make their sabbath an actual sabbath, unlike most chrisitans today who's sabbath ends Sunday afternoon when they leave church (eventhough a lot of protestants and catholics don't even go to church anymore).
According to religioustolerance.org, they also have a huge success rate of going to college (maybe because they don't spend all of their time watching TV?)and not suprisingly all of my friends of that group are doctors, med students and pre-med, with a few business majors. They also refuse to listen/watch any entertainment that isn't up to christian standards and most are out of touch of idiot shows like survivor (oh wait.. out of season now huh?). Even my most bible thumping protestant friend likes to go out and watch movies with violence and action! From what i've read online alot of seventh-day adventists are like my friends... maybe it is something in the water they drink
