Every faith tells of some return of a messiah. Youre nothing special, and youre waiting for a day that will never come. I guarantee you when the first human is cloned, or genetically engineered, the Christian right will try and have them assasinated because he will be an "abomination of God" or "The Antichrist."

Oh well, Im not worried at all. I think that fundamentalism of all kinds is in its last throws. People see how retarded Muslim fundamentalism is, and people are starting to see how crazy the Christian fundamentalists are. Barney is right that religion is no longer a way of life, its a hobby, like a social club. And where Barney thinks we will turn back to the ways of the 1500s, i believe this is all happening for one reason. People are realizing how stupid and restricting it all is.
In order to solve a lot of the problems in this world, and to advance as a race, we need to quit this crap and start working for the betterment of mankind, not the betterment of one country, or one religion.

We are all in this together, whether we like it or not. The ignorant need to shut up and wake up. Unfortunately it will probably take some catastrophic event for that to happen. But whatever, I dont care as long as it happens.

Youre a dying breed......and thank God. I feel confident my generation is a transitional one. The dawn of an age of reason, a new Enlightenment.

I am no hippie, or a utopian. I am a realist who sees that this is the only logical step to take if we want to survive and advance. Alliance is the only answer. Nationalism, racism, and hate are poisons that will be whiped clean from the earth.

One day.....the world WILL come together to fight for a common cause. The survival and advancement of the human race.

How can you sit here and thrash religion, and then in the same breath, "thank God?"

I agree that we need to leave our ideological and religious differences at the door and come together, but that's asking a lot. Most religions have a specific guideling of how their societies should be ran and, as human as we are, can not put those beliefs aside. Take Christianity for example...cities were destroyed for their defiance.

You can't just ask everyone to get rid of their beliefs and to quit their "social clubs" (especially by insulting them).

It is always funny to me to watch a theist pretend that other religions are absurd...but not their's, heh heh

The real question is... When this Jesus fella returns... WHICH side will he be on?

THe christians think he is coming back for them, the muslims think he is coming back to renounce christianity and slay the infidels who do not follow Allah.
