Default US senator McCain calls for leaders to boycott G8 summit

US senator McCain calls for leaders to boycott G8 summit in Russia.
That is an excllent idea but unfortunately no one will listen. Sen. McCain went on to say " "Under Mr Putin, Russia today is neither a democracy nor one of the world's leading economies, " Now how much more true can that be !!!!

" US Senator John McCain called upon world leaders to boycott the G8 summit in Russia in July, questioning Moscow's commitment to democracy.
In a speech to the Munich Conference on Security Policy, McCain said that President

Vladimir Putin had rolled back reforms in Russia and did not share the democratic values of the United States and Europe.

Sen McCAIN FURTHER SPOLE WORDS OF UTMOST WISDOM !!!!
With Russia's powerful Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov looking on, McCain said Russia had punished "democratic" Ukraine and Georgia by disrupting energy supplies "while providing cut-rate gas to the dictatorship in Minsk".

On Chechnya McCAIN SAID
"It (Russia) continues to prosecute a brutal war in

Chechnya that has killed as many as 200,000, radicalizing the Muslim population, and it actively supports dictatorships in Central Asia."
McCain said "the broadcast media are Kremlin-controlled, as are parliament, provincial governors and the judiciary. All of these were free and independent when Mr Putin took office."
The G8 summit will take place in Saint Petersburg on July 15-17.

Sen McCAIN IS A GREAT MAN !!! I hope that he will run for president, I am ready to help out in his campaign !!!!!

Default American democratic values :o)))

Dear f100supersaber,
"democratic values of the United States" ...
I really appreciate your sense of humor
With reference to Chechnya, have you ever seen any live man from this region?
I recommend you to open some map, the best coloured ... and then try to find the title Russia

Default McCain

I want this McCain to be next president of the US. He will finish decline begun by Jr.Bush with triumphal collapse. Only think about it: If bringing democracy to Afghanistan and Iraq was such a blow to American economy, what will happen if they decide to bring democracy to Russia? Oh, god save America in that case.

My understanding of Russia and the older nations who have to deal with a problemetic neighbor is very deep. My ancestors have dealt with the problem neighbor for several hundred years along with the Tatars and other invaders such as the Turks and Mongols.

The fact your 'undestanding' is deep doesn't necessarily mean it isn't mistaken.

There is not mistake my understanding of Russia or it's history. Russia is responsible for 35 million murders in the 20th century alone. Russia has never had a democratic society and it has been an imperistic nation for a long time. Russia has commited ethnocide, infantacide, linguisticide, homocide, and even used cyanide in political muders.

As I know, all milions of dead in 20th century which you bear in mind were victims of comrade Stalin. And he decidedly was not a Russian ...
Besides of it, who do you think conquered Nazism?
And what about for example Tatars and Turks?
