Will Poland return its former frontiers?
Hello there! listen, a few days ago I came across a funny picture on someone's live journal page - an image of a map of Poland. the guy posted it and wrote he bought it when he was in Poland for some business. at the first gaze there was nothing remarkable; but if you look at it closer you will notice that the borders are wrong. on this map it looks like Poland has occupied part of Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine. according to the author, the map was produced by some American printing house in 2006.
At the first glance I did not pay much attention to this but shortly after I got amused. it might have been just a mistake of the publishers but I sort of doubt about it. the thing is that Poland's frontiers designated on this map are fully corresponding that between 1918 and 1945 when Poland bore name Rzeczpospolita.
Well, on some reflection I understood that it was not merely a mistake. where did this map come from all of a sudden? maybe an information leak? as far as I know, Poland is sort of a protegee of the US in Eastern Europe that devotedly carries out an order by Washington for transporting influence of America into this region (that's to the question of bringing democracy to Belarus). so it must be that the US was planning to take control of Belarus by the medium of its pro-American opposition and Poland's assistance and restitute its territories in Belarus, Ukraine and Lithuania after the plan is accomplished while the publishers did not take sufficient care of it and forestalled the events. I guess what people of Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine think about the opportunity to become Poles.
