Me: If Russia had better scientists, they would also have better technology.

But Russia's main weakness is it's economy, not the quality of it's scientists.
Money is the problem. Or was.
Why do you speak in the past tense? What has changed that leads you to believe money is no longer a problem for Russia?

But your peak, whichever it is, is lower than Russian bottom considering the potentials of their country.
How did you determine that? Please post the source of this economic data.

Here is mine:

They do not even outnumber us numerically...at least China has that going for them.

We heard the same thing about Japan in the 60s.

We have a saying in America: "Talk is cheap".

(btw - You do know the Polar Bear is going extinct because of global warming right? Perhaps you might want to pick a better analogy, heh heh)

We still use carpet bombing though.
When? Carpet bombing is unacceptable because it puts civilians at risk. As far as I know, we don't do it anymore.

When did we last carpet bomb someone? I don't think we've done it since Vietnam.

And the B-52 can carry guided bombs.
It can be shoehorned with guided weapons, but was never designed to carry them.

Quote:
We use the B-52 in less populated areas in Afghanistan to do Vietnam style Arklight attacks, which are effectively carpet bombing.
Do you have a source for those weapons? I'd like to see the particulars. I don't think that is analogous to carpet bombing.

I think we may be using different definitions of carpet bombing. My definition is dropping an entire B-52 bombbay indiscriminately over a target area as opposed to dropping on pinpoint targets, or more simply a saturation bombing against a specific area.

Like I said, the air force doesn't use B-52 carpet bombing strikes over civilian areas, they use them up in the mountains against Taliban positions that are away from villages.

That was my point.

Careful what you wish for. I know you think a powerful Russia will be your good friend and shoot Albanians for you.
I don't want to shoot Albanians. Who told you that? I want them to live. But not to refer to our land as theirs. So, my intention is to reverse the decision in the future. Perhaps in 20, 30, 50 years... Doesn't matter. The Jews waited for 2000 years and got what they wanted. So will we. Strong Russia will be much helpful.

But I imagine not too long ago the Bear looked upon your chunk of the world as a bunch of seals.
That was not the Bear. Those were communists. The true Bear is strong and rich orthodox nation, devoted to protection of fellow orthodox Slavs.

Quote:
Also Russia will face competition from China and, eventually, India for being the major player in the region.
Perhaps those countries will make a strong alliance with the Bear. The resources are on that side of the planet. More than half of mankind is on that side of the planet. Things are about to change in the long-term future dramatically.

And of course the EU continues to grow and gain cohesivness, though how cohesive and effective they can be in the sense of operating as a single force remains to be seen.
Au contraire. The EU has never been more divided. This is Europe, not America. You cannot invent a nation. By the way, nationalist movements are stronger every day all over Europe.

There was far more to the pacific war then you care to understand. There were more than two or three islands. You missed Guadalcanal, the Philippines, New Guinea (which saved Austrailia), the Solomon islands, Iwo Jima, Okinawa, Midway, the Battle of Coral Sea, the battle of the Philippine Sea, and the Battle of Leyte Gulf (the largest naval battle in history).

All of them were won because of the skill of the American Carriers

Wrong. They recognized another Albanian state in the Balkans.

The Alboes from Kosovo don't wave Kosovo flags (the one you introduced here), but the state flags of Albania. Think about that.

Not according to them. No offense, but I think they are more aware of who they are recognizing than you are.

That has to do with you inventing a nation - Kosovo nation. Such nation does not exist, nor will it ever exist. You created a new Albanian muslim state in Europe.

So, Albanians have 2 countries now.

im split on the issue of kossovo. i tend to think that if a region of a country want to brake away im usually in favor of it. but with kossovo its much more complicated. if kossovo was annexed by albania it would be like they took the land from the serbs. i would want to support such an action..
