Around 16,000 soldiers of various nations(almost all NATO or close enough) are there now.

Russia had initially sent forces....got to be almost 3,000 Russians there... they are all gone now.

Kosovans aren't though.

They have been oppressed by the Serbians for too long, sort of like the American's were when the British were there (but alot worse, like Genocide worse).

I completely support Kosovan independece and think that American troops should be deployed there to show our support. We still can make the Russian's blink. And hopefully we will to nip this Resurgent Russia in the bud.

We need to make it clear who still calls the shots.

You are quite right! The U.S. helps the Moslims to take the advantage in Europe. You don't understand the terrible threat of the Moslims. We faced it in Chechnya. We fought in Afganistan in 80s against them but U.S. called our actions "the agression". Now the Al-Kaeda originates from there. I think it'd be better think before doing something...

If our American friends want to have further problems from Muslims, let them celebrate "Kosovo Independence". Remember, years ago they also kissed arses of Saddam and Bin Laden, calling them as "allies in fight against rising Communism"...

Serbia has oppressed Kosovo for too long my Russian friends. I knows that Russia and Serbia have been close allies for a long time (so close in fact Russia went to war with Germany in 1914).

However, We Americans cannot alienate the Muslim world anymore, they need to be brought into the fold. America needs to back Kosovan Independence to show Muslims worldwide that America will stand for any country gaining independence from an oppressor.

If Russia wants to needlessly escalate the situation then by all means go right ahead. Russia will be forced to bow down if America puts substantial amounts of troops in the region.

If Russia wants to further alienate the Middle East, then go ahead. Russia should not be involved in this one, it will only result in pushing NATO together against the Bear yet again.

ANd we all remember what happened last time the West did that
