Those were different times... You should discover some more Serbian and Yugoslav history in order to understand what happened.

Exactly. That was my point in another thread as well.

These Serbians (at least the ones on here) look down their noses at the Albanian Muslim minority as if they are animals. And they exect us to believe they will treat them fairly if we just leave them alone. uh'huh.

Their words on here (and the actions of their countrymen) fully confirm what I suspected from the beginning. We made the correct decision not to trust them to do the right thing.

You keep on pushing words into my mouth as if I spoke them... I will repeat one more time (and you read carefully): Albanians from Albania look upon Kosovo Albanians as animals.

So you do not approve what Serbs did to Albanians, but you aprrove what Albanians did to Serbs and what Americans and NATO are still doing to us? Is that your comprehension of democracy? You can stick your claims up your you-know-what.

IMO, based on what I have seen from your posts, you agree with them. I never misquoted you. I expressed an opinion as to how you feel about the Albanians. You have never spoken about them with anything other than complete contempt.

The alternatives were worse. I don't believe you would have treated the Albanians as equals. So the was the only viable solution.

So long as we get our way, I am happy to do that.

My comprehension of democracy is a people free to govern themselves via elected representatives without outside interference in their political system. The Albanians did not have that before.

If we wanted a military base that badly, we would have just maintained the status quo. Siding with Serbia would have been easier for us.
