Thank you for all that information. I'll honestly admit that I didn't know a whole lot about this conflict until now. However, the fact of the matter is that both sides have committed terrible acts upon each other. Having kosovo as an independent country will likely result in a dramatic decrease in the violence between these two nations (once the Russians give up on getting Kosovo back for Serbia.) Therefore, this is a potential solution to the situation.

Potential yes, but in this case one side won and the other side lost. And you don't want to be the loser, do you?

That aside, I believe that the only permanent solution to the Kosovo crysis is splitting Kosovo into two parts - northern part with Serbian majority should reintegrate with Serbia, the southern part should be independent. That would put period on the conflict.

Yes, the logistics of the situation can probably be more fine tuned. I doubt Kosovo will end up with all the territory it has thus far claimed after the Serbian response. However, if looked at optimistially, this represents a chance for, if not goodwill, then at least reluctant peace between these two peoples in future generations.

Savior - Terrorists are feeling anything but threatened as we've opened a pro-US cooperative government composed of them. Iran actually supports this, but for fear of breaking ties with Russia her government has not spoken out
If they havnt spoken out how do you know what Iran supports? Are you telepathic?

If you make a claim, you're expected to provide evidence to back it. No, I'm not going to just take your word for it. Sorry. It isnt my job to research evidence for claims I don't believe anyway.

This clearly explains you're views on the subject, you will not look anything up, save our Fox, CNN, NBC, newspapers, etc.

Here is something I did not know - Azerbaijan denounced the Kosovo independence. Take a look at this country's history if you think the government ot Kosovo is legitimate. Azerbaijan's majority population and government has been pleading for western recognition, but because of their largely Shi'ite majority, they will never be taken into consideration. (who better to ask about the true nature of a Muslim fundamentalist group then the Shi'ite)

People of Nagorny Karabakh province of Azerbaijan also can claim Inpedendence, following by Kosovo. So, nobody (among sane people, of course) in Azerbaijan wants a new war with Armenia...

If I remember correctly, Armenia is sorrounded by hostile peoples of differing religions. I don't think they'll engage anyone. Besides, their territory is perfect for stopping invasions, or at least drawing out the battles so long enemy countries would give up
