You have maybe eight threads going. You may simply have misplaced them. I beleive on these boards if a mod deletes your post it leaves a little "post deleted because of <instert reason here>" thing behind.

Haha many indeed. I focus on this one.

Anyways, Armenia is a secluded country, and while I may be incorrect, I believe they are pretty comfortable being this way, and don't want to risk open war. Again, I may be wrong

Me: If you make a claim, you're expected to provide evidence to back it. No, I'm not going to just take your word for it. Sorry. It isnt my job to research evidence for claims I don't believe anyway.

This clearly explains you're views on the subject, you will not look anything up, save our Fox, CNN, NBC, newspapers, etc.
You aren't correct by default. In a debate, you cant reasonably expect to simply "declare" a fact and have everyone just take your word for it. If it isn't worth your time to research your sources, why would it be worth mine?

If our positions were reversed, you'd say the same thing. Don't be a hypocrite.

Those are both editorials. I don't accept editorials as evidence of anything.

NATO: Russia not to use force in Kosovo
(Xinhua)
Updated: 2008-02-25 11:02

MOSCOW -- Russia will not use force in Kosovo though the situation in the region will continue to escalate following the unilateral declaration of independence by Kosovo authorities, Russia's permanent representative to NATO Dmitry Rogozin said on Sunday.

"We should understand that since our 'allies' have turned the world upside down, we should assume this: there are no more rules that can prevent threats to our security," Rogozin was quoted by the Interfax news agency as saying.

Only one forecast can be made as to the further development of the situation in Kosovo and Serbia: there will be "chaos instead of order," he said.

"This is the first. Secondly, the international law, the UN, the system of international relations, the rules of respectable military behavior of states will not have authority any more. There will be only one rule from now on: the one who has psychical and brutal force, will be strong and will be right," Rogozin said.

Kosovo, the breakaway province of Serbia, has been under the UN administration since 1999.

The ethnic Albanian-dominated Kosovo unilaterally declared its independence from Serbia on Feb. 17. Belgrade has said the proclamation is null and void.
So, guess not. No force by the Russians...

Predictable. Pragmatists have no balls. Which I guess is a good thing for us.

Seriously it would be a horribly stupid war for them. Tactically the situation is against them from the geography to who already is in place etc etc. And they also have little to gain as it isn't like they could practically annex any land there.

Their fight is for Chechnya and Georgia. Where the situation favors them.

Of course since Russia has a veto those territories would never get independence if the UN laws were followed anyway. So, really, the Russians are just putting a spin on the status quo with their talk of violence.

To defend Serbia's sovereignty.

They agree with your position, right? They are your Slavic Brothers™, right? So why wouldn't we expect them to defend you?

Oh yeah...now I remember. Because they are pragmatists and defending you isnt in their interest.

No argument here. Which is why all they will contribute to Serbia is words. And maybe some cash, if the Serbians are really nice to them. Russia is not going to stick their neck out for Serbia, because they don't really care about Serbia beyond the fact that they can use Serbia as a platform to talk crаp about the US. There's no morality involved with Russia. Only cold pragmatism.

Which is a bad thing for Serbia. But a good thing for us.

Thats a given. Russia and China might do it purely out of spite. But they have practical reasons as well...they don't want to set a precedent for that sort of thing in the UN. China's worst nightmare is that Taiwan will get UN recognition.

So yeah, I agree, Kosovo will never see UN recognition. But, like Taiwan, they may not need it. And they may still get defacto membership if they were to join the EU some day.
