Serbia stand at an important stage of their history. They can choose to remain tied to the past and current political alliances - which has brought them nothing but troble and strife over the years.

They can choose to accept the EU offer

Yes, Serbia joining the EU is a must! I agree with your view.

Considering the NATO alliance, every chance there was concerning Serbia's membership in the organization is non existing now, with Russia cementing its alliance with Serbia.

By the way, if NATO paid Serbia for all the damage to infrastructure they did, perhaps there would be a chance of saying yes at the referendum. And the damage is more than 30 billion USD.

I suspect Serbia will be rebuilt once they join the EU, paid for by a combination of the EU and UN.
