Individual cases. Why would Serbs and Croats create a common state in 1918 if they hated each other that much?

The hate was fabricated from the outside. Easier to control the Balkans that way. As the old Roman proverb says: Divide et impera!

Mostly because, no matter how much the croats and serbs hated eachother, they both hated the Austro-Hungarian Empire more. You fail to point out that after Yugoslavia was formed, the government became fractured. They could not get anything done because of the animosity

The animosity was fabricated by certain politicians. The peoples themselves had no problem with living side by side, and even marrying and making families... There is a huge number of Serbian-Croatian families even now all across former Yugoslavia.

Is Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu i.e Mother Teresa good enough for you?

A great woman. May she rest in peace.

Well, you see, thanks to the Serb Tesla, you don't have to live in darkness now. He is the founder of modern civilization.
