So with all this EU talk and whatnot I get that Serbia might not be willing to recognize Kosovo as a truely soverign nation.

However is there something you might be able to recognize them as that would satisfy your pride but that the rest of the world could consider "good enough".

First of all, Kosova was an independent country and semi-independent until it was invaded for 500 years by ottomans.

problem is resolved. Serbia will recognize it as well. There are already voices who want to recognize it. Ahtisari Plan offers Kosovar serbs the best solution.

No, I support an independent Kosovo. But that doesn't mean I want to see Serbia kicked to the curb. They have done a lot of reform after all (they just still have issues against Albanians). Part of that is the Kosovo issue could make it hard for both countries to join the EU and other such things. I'm proposing something where they recognize and independent Kosovo but keep their pride.

(Off topic: Don't try to breed to fast it will tank your economy. You do not want to risk becoming a failed state.).

I don't think so. Serbia and Kosova will join EU. There are a lot of political forces in serbia that expressed willingness to recognize Kosova.

Like I said, Kosova has a strong potential to become an economical superpower in the Balkans.

Albanians came to the Serbian land and because of their extremely high natality rate (every family has at least 10 members) and because of Serbs not wanting to live with them and leaving Kosovo selling their houses, land (safety reasons - Albanians are not harmless like they represent themselves here) they soon became a majority in Kosovo. Now they just took 15 % of the Serbian land. Can someone explain to me how is this justifiable? Thanks!

Same thing is bound to happen in Monte Negro and Macedonia with rising Albanian population.
Albanians came to Kosovo illegally and were able to do so because of the communist regime of the former Yugoslavia that allowed them.

The question is, is there anything you could call the region that would satisfy your pride but admit that, for the time being at least, Kosovo has broken away.
