Default UN: No more talks over Kosovo status

UN: No more talks over Kosovo status

Talks on finances and CEFTA only

The talks between Belgrade and Pristina are necessary, but Kosovo status shall not be the topic. Settlement of mutual relations in the sphere of finances, privatization and CEFTA, are some of the topics that the UN intend to initiate, a well informed international diplomat says for ‘Blic’. According to him the talks should begin at the time of expiration of the transition period, i.e. in June. The UN Secretary General Bank Ki-moon shall appoint a special envoy ‘to mediate in these talks’.

In recent days some European officials talked about some ‘new ideas regarding Kosovo’ that the UN Secretary General has. Those statements re-opened speculations whether new negotiations over Kosovo status are in sight and whether Ban Ki-moon was forced to those new ideas by ‘pressure from the Russian side’. However, well informed international sources say for ‘Blic’ that the ‘new ideas’ do not refer to the status.
As ‘Blic’ learns the problem of the UNMIK is still unsolved within the UN. At the moment it is certain that there shall remain two offices, one in Pristina and one in the northern Kosovska Mitrovica. However, ‘they shall exist formally and shall not act practically’. The authorities shall be mainly transferred onto Kosovo institutions and not onto the EULEX. That is confirmed by recently adopted Kosovo Constitution that clearly stipulates that Kosovo shall have the police, foreign policy and army.
Practically, the functioning of the EU mission, according to international diplomats, is based on the Ahtisaari’s plan and Kosovo Constitution.

Wasn't UN something you wanted to talk about.

No, you ignore my posts.

Didn't I tell you that 97% of the UN bills are paid by the countries that have already recognized the Republic of Kosovo, US, UK, Germany, France, Japan, Canada, Italy, Australia and other ones.

Fortunately, SG of UN is not UN. UN is not only Security Council either, but a concept, an idea. And that idea is still strong enough, stronger than Uncle Sam and stronger than the terrorists false state of Kosovo.

Terrorist State of Serbia. You exist as serbia only on paper. I know it will take a while for you to understand, but when the successor of Serbia, republic of Shumadia becomes reality, you will understand my point

Why not go back to the drawing board and unite the Yugoslavian people again?

I think you should institute a constitutional democracy and reunite all the territories of the former Yugoslavia:

Quote:
Belief in constitutional monarchy
Alexander is a proponent of re-establishing constitutional monarchy in the former Yugoslavia and sees himself as the rightful king. He believes that monarchy would give Serbia "stability, continuity and unity".[10]

Many members of political parties and organizations support constitutional parliamentary monarchy in Serbia. The Serbian Orthodox Church has openly supported the restoration of the monarchy. [11] [12]. The assassinated former Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Đinđić could often be seen in the company of the prince and his family, supporting their campaigns and projects, although his Democratic Party never publicly embraced monarchy. It seems that no party is ready to energetically push the issue of monarchy either because of other grave political problems in the country or from fear or further fragmenting the already fragmented and unpredictable Serbian electorate.

Crown Prince Alexander II has vowed to stay out of politics and has so far fulfilled this promise. He and Crown Princess Katherine spend considerable time associated with humanitarian work.

The Crown Prince however has increasingly participated in public functions alongside the leaders of Serbia, the former Yugoslav republics and members of the diplomatic corps. On May 11, 2006 he hosted a reception at the Royal Palace for delegates attending a summit on Serbia and Montenegro. The reception was attended by the Governor of the National Bank of Serbia, as well as ambassadors and diplomats from Slovenia, Poland, Brazil, Japan, United States and Austria.

Sure, after you and your countrymen illegally migrated to the same Yugoslavia that gave you education, social and health services, that fed you and gave you jobs (after you fled Albania). But later on, you decided to destroy the very same Yugoslavia.

Yeah, I figured you to be an Albanian, so why not move to Albania if it is that important to you? It's as if a bunch of Texans decided to move to Kosovo and then decided, hmmm, there so many Texans here, why not just call this place part of Texas?
