Kosovo was one of the 8 units of the federation of Yugoslavia, it always functioned as such, therefore it is an ex-Yugoslav state not an ex-Serbian state. Almost all the other "units" are now independent states, kosovo just completes the process

you know as well as me, the history of this conflict is complex. Im neither trying to hide thr truth, nor convince myself. Kosovo WAS defined as an autonomous region under federal NOT serbian jurisdiction. (1946 till 1963, then again in 1974). being an autonomous province meant it was an equal constituional element of the Federation, equal to Serbia. We all know who changed that, stirring up myths of kosovo being the cradle of Serbia, abolishing kosovo's autonomy and declaring sovereignty over the region. But then he ended up in the Hague for crimes against humanity!

I fully understand the Serbs have a tough time with the loss of Kosovo. However, the breakup of the former Yugoslavia is a fact and Kosovo is now for all practical purposes an independent country. It will stay that way and the Serbs will just have to live with that. Living in denial is not going to help.

Sorry, but all the attempts made by the Serbian political propaganda machine to justify the unjustifiable slaugher of the Albanians and the Bosniaks simply because they are defending the western values against the " islamic fundamentalism" has failed miserably. As you have Albanian Christians and Orthodox in Kosova, and moreover the Croats are Christians and slavs, and still they were massacred and got their Churches destroyed.



Serbia is still a place where if one doesn't lie, one won't survive. It is a patern of existence that has kept their "dreams" of Greater Serbia alive and the neighboring nations in pain.

Crap. I live in Serbia, not you. You know nothing about life here. Everybody is happy and smiling here, streets are full of beautiful people, we have good humor, we have excellent bars and nightclubs, sport arenas, parks full of children playing...

You can speak of Serbia (or lie, better said) to someone who never had the chance to come here and see things for himself.

Things are not brilliant, however. The economy has to grow, but after that happens - there will be no problems in Serbia.
