He also urged both Moscow and Tbilisi to avoid harsh rhetoric.

At Wednesday's session of the Russia-NATO Council in Brussels, Moscow’s envoy said Georgia and Russia should not go to war.

“It is obvious that I am, as a politician and a diplomat, strongly against war and showing off weapons. This is a radical way. I am sure there is still a chance to stop it. There is always a way out. If we cannot reach an agreement now let's leave it there. Let our children have this possibility. The main thing is that we should not go to war, we should avoid shooting,” said Rogozin.

Cool, another war? Like the US has nothing better to do than to involve itself in yet another countries internal disputes.

Oil lines run trough Georgia. British Petroleum(second supermajor) controls oil in Caspian sea. The pipeline runs trough Azerbaijani, Georgia, Turkey. So you see the Russian are trying to stop oil sucking under there nose. That will explain lot of spying tensions between Russia and UK in last 10 years.
So you see US has interest in Georgia!

I don't believe the oil line even gets very close to the contested regions.

Anybody know if there is anything worth anything in either of those sports?
