You forget one major thing: Russia has enormous potentials!

Uncle Sam has reached his pinnacle, and is slowly falling down now. No resources, no nothing unless he starts doing the same thing Hitler did. Which he is, but with slightly different methods.

Once we figure out a method of sustaining our energy then tell me what is the limit! We have all the resources we need in this vast country and with only 2% of the nation being developed there's plenty of room for anyone who wants to join in on the fun

But seriously, while America may be an Empire reaching it's pinnacle the Indians will continue to bear the torch after we are surpassed by them. What is funny is that all of this rhetoric was being spewed in the 80's after the US lost Vietnam. Then we boomed again! All of this economic trouble is because of the war in Iraq and it's necessary financial commitments and also the world economy readjusting to the emergence of more centers of power. A mere blip. However the US leads in areas which all of our competitors are years behind thus securing our place as technological superpower for at least the next century. OUr computers are more advanced and because of this will get better at a faster rate than our competitors. Such is the beauty of the Information Age. Information will surpass money as the ultimate power and this is where the US will again triumph.

People are very ignorant about the capabilities of the American military which is the wrong attitude to take. Does Russia want a conventional war with America? Does China? Only the combined power of both of them could threaten America but then again they would have to beat the Navy and Air Force plus the Europeans.

The Chinese and Russians are known for their pioneering research into Nanotechnology, the Internet, Stem Cells, Computers, robotics and self sustaining energy......

Oh yeah they both also lead in military technology....
Right......

We'll be bioengineered super humans with robotic arms while you are normal humans! The next step of Human evolution will come from our minds rather than adaptation and the US is leading in all fields.
