Yes, it does make it right.
The United States was founded on the principle that each person is born through the gift of life from God and that gift of life comes with certain rights. The rights include the responsibility to defend that right and part of that responsibility is to kill those who are trying to kill you.
"The Enemy" is by definition, trying to take the life of the sovereign, which by extension enjoys the same rights as the individuals that comprise the nation. Therefore it is the responsibility of the Soldier, to defend the life of their nation.
What I really enjoy about the secular (Socialist) argument being put forth here is that its only purpose is to instill doubt. The socialist bringing the argument can't challenge the existance of God or the gift or the rights that come with it. They can't challenge the responsibility either, but that doesn't stop them from rejecting it.
Instead, they merely project the appearance of authority, by claiming that God, The Gift of life, the rights and responsibility are merely the opinion of thier opposition, which is supposed to somehow discount the premise, the principle and the sum of all it expressed through that reasoning.
Notice however that these socialist take no notice of the murders committed by the enemy. Their only interests is in projecting doubt on the authority of the rights that the forces of liberty and freedombring down on that of oppression. But that makes sense when you take the time to realize that socialism in all of its forms amounts to nothing but oppression. What draws them to it, is they feel they have no power in a free world and that is what they crave. The Socialist wants power over another human being. And it is through this hatefull ideology that they hope to gain it.
The problem is of course, that all that changes in the scheme of socialism is that what they perceive as the powerful become somewhat less powerful, having been taken down by the oppressive forces of the socialist government. So all that happens is that these powerless foot soldiers simply feel they're more powerful, through the delusion of relevance.
While Socialists are not the least intelligent in a society (that position being held mightily by the anarchists) they are terribly dim-bulbs and as such should be dismissed, at every level of societal discourse. They serve only to cripple a society with absolutely no positive end.
