It's obvious to see that the insults on this particular forum reflect the thoughts of Albanians and Serbians in reality. I think it will be difficult to reduce the personal level of antipathy that seems to be present without actually resolving the conflict in real life.

I'm sure some of these people posting in this forum have been affected by previous wars and conflict in the Balkans, perhaps more affected than we would like to imagine. It's not easy for them to look past it, I believe, as the topics are all on a very personal level to begin with. Of course I am not suggesting that it is a good thing to be insulting each other, but I am providing a reason.

The only way to actually tackle the bitterness is probably to mediate, rather than ban people. This is due to the probability that personal conflict will only stop when either all Serbians or all Albanians are not present. If only there was a way to mediate, it would be hopefully be more effective in reducing these insults.

Out beyond the ideas of nationalism, prejudice, and loathing, there is a field. I will meet you there.

Kiwi, you are one of the few people on this forum to have a pretty neutral stance toward the Serbian-Albanian conflict, even though you kind of support the false state of Kosovo.

Anyway, all these insults and numerous threads only show one thing: this issue has not been solved the way it's supposed to be.

Belgrade and Pristina must go back to the negotiation table again, without foreign pressure. Mediation would be useful,but as long as it stays far from pressuring either side.

I think watching the Albanians and Serbs discuss is much like watching the Orangmen and the IRA "discuss."

These are conflicts that date back hundreds of years and can't be resolved in months.

Belgrade and Prishtina should negotiate "what" exactly? You can't negotiate with Serbia...it is just not possible. Last time "that" happened, well...you should know.

there is nothing to discuss anymore. post-status discussion for the missing people: 4000 albanians are still buried across serbia and some trade issues.

also, i got news for you all, A serbian fascist, member of radical fascist party is to become mayor of belgrade. i can't wait to hear atd's thoughts on this one.
