Everybody is welcome to join the discussion on normal and polite basis.

But if someone calls me "a butcher", I can't respond by sending him smilies and flowers.

If he calls your countrymen butchers, I expect you to do what Sadistic Savior and I do when people call the U.S. a terrorist nation or a state sponsor of terrorism or a bunch of murderers. We eat their lunch in argument, and show them rationally and with evidence, that this claim is incorrect.

If someone calls you PERSONALLY a butcher, please report this incident. Do not respond. The mods will clean this up. This is not a slur on you, it is a slur on the person whose argument is so poor and his intellect so puny that he must stoop to insults.

Gay life in the country

Gays and lesbians continue to face discrimination and harassment in Serbia. Most Serbians display vast anti-gay attitudes. There have been numerous instances of extremely violent gay-bashing. Official medical textbooks classify homosexuality as an illness under the heading "Sexual Deviations and Disorders". The gay scene is small; "Alliance Club", "Club X" and "Floyd" in Belgrade, and one club in Novi Sad "Mesto". Additionally, few gay and gay-friendly cafes are located in the downtown area of Belgrade and Novi Sad. There are also public LGBT parties, organised few times a month, mostly in Belgrade and Novi Sad.

Why don't you clean up your own garden first? What about gay rights in Albania and Kosovo? Come one, give me a break. Attitude toward gay population is identical in all Eastern European countries, which are mostly conservative and pro family values. This is not Netherlands.
