Eurosong in Serbia was the best organized festival in the history of this music competition. This is crap all of you are writing about.

Ofcourse there was no issues. Everybody is happy and extremely satisfied. Belgrade showed it's a true European city and very serious when it comes to organizations.

Ask the Albanian Eurosong competitor how she felt in Belgrade and was she satisfied or not.

I am tired of you guys posting crap and nonsense about my country and my people. We are European people, for Christ's sake. We share the same values and very similar culture to all other European nations.

This is not an attack on you, ATD. I saw this article when I was searching for more information on the new Mayor of Belgrade, and thought it was interesting. I am seeking more information about what life is like in Serbia. Having never been there, I can only ask and rely on those who have.

This is me, trying to learn. I've worked some with fascists and anarchists in the U.S., and so this is a subject of interest to me. In the city where I previously lived, we had a large group called Straight Edge that was known for attacking people for smoking and drinking. Seriously.

Pure exaggerating. Perhaps a group of people did that, but it's far from majority.
I've listened to a couple of interviews with the Albanian girl, and she was always smiling and saying how she liked Belgrade and how everybody treated her nicely.

But many people and countries gain profit from sending bad image of Serbia to the world. We are used to that crap. But I'm telling you what the majority thinks and feels.

If you came to Belgrade, Donna, you would be more protected than the polar bear himself. I can guarantee you that.

I reposted the article from another source. That was how the situation was described in the article. It was a travel website, I saw no reason why they would be biased.

This is your chance to provide a different perspective from the article.

You cannot get bent any time someone posts information you find offensive, in a way that offends you. This is political discussion. Much of what happens here offends the hell out of me (think every racist thread ever posted here). But, I don't make an ass out of myself just because a thread offends me. I respond calmly and rationally, and allow the racists to make asses out of themselves.

When you respond so emotionally, you give credibility to everything the article is saying, that Serbs are hostile and intolerant.

Do you understand what I am saying? I understand that you are young, virile, and full of testosterone. But, not everything has to be a fight. You would probably make your points better if you put your very fiery emotions aside and responded on the basis of fact.

If, in fact, this song competition went off very smoothly, then you can provide that perspective, with evidence, and defuse the question, without allowing your political opponents to bait you into another explosion that threatens your membership here.

I was like that in the beginning... My first 500 posts or something like that... But many forum members' story and everybody else's short-sight perspectives, created by CNN and other news agencies, seemed rock solid. That is the moment I lost my temper and chose to fight fire with fire.
