Bosnian Muslims are mostly Serbs converted to Islam during the the 5 century long Ottoman rule. Same goes for Muslims in the Sandzak area.

I am not talking of religion. I have been living long enough around them to know that the language and lifestyle is pretty much the same. The music. The "swearing".

In 1980, there were more orthodox Bosnian Serbs than Bosniaks [Bosnian Muslims], and also the Bosnian Croats.

Ever since then, all parties tried to claim Bosnia as their own, which resulted in war amongst eachother. They all had land claims there, having to do much with history.

And then Milosevic came----and that was the end of potential unity and the start of millions of missing or dead caused amongst eachother...mostly blamed on Serbia of course.

The war in Bosnia started by killing Serbs. Not vice versa. The war in Slovenia started by killing Serbs. Not vice versa. Massive operations against the KLA started after numerous attacks on police convoys in Kosovo.

But it's always popular to blame the Serbian side. History has yet to be rewritten, adding some objectivity to it.
