Default Warning - do not travel to Serbia
The US State department has updated its list of "hot spots" around the World, where caution should be taken by visitors due to high crime rate.

Serba is listed alongside other places such as the Gambia, the Congo Republic and Uzbekistan, which is about correct since its a 3rd World dump.

I can agree with this warning, as I was in Belgrade in Dec '07 and it was a terrible place, dirty, full of beggers and criminals.



So planning a holiday this year? Stay safe, enjoy yourself and stay clear of Serbia.

And one more thing, the link you provided gives crime reports on Italy, France, USA and many other "1st world" countries.

I live in Belgrade, walk freely at night wherever I desire, there are no street gangs and stuff like that, I was never robbed or threatened or anything similar...
