The issue in Kosova was not just a European matter. Kosova/o deemed to be the geopolitical limit, the 'red line', as it bordered FYROM and Albania, which in turn could have lead to Greece ( a NATO member ) and Turkey getting involved in the war.

Crusader, you have to understand that every peaceful deplomatic alternative to war was tried but failed. The reason why it failed was Milosevic gambled that the West would fold, and that he could devide the West and Russia, and get away with the final solution in Kosova. Which he did not manage to do. Hence the NATO and UN intervention.

Well, then the Serbian reaction before and durng the war was a revenge for your WW2 involvement as Hitler's puppet in killing Serbs and Jews. Albanian SS Skenderbeg division was created by Himler himself, and counted 9000 Albanians.

The 18-page report, which is based on numerous interviews with victims, eyewitnesses, and local officials in over a dozen villages and towns, describes direct and systematic efforts to force Serbs and Roma to leave their homes, including through arson, looting and the destruction of their property.

Thank you for the links, Amused. There's a first time for everything. =)

As for the Hitler era, all nations in the Balkans had Nazi collaborators.
There were also Albanians that saved Jews during the WW2;

Israeli Exhibition Honors Albanian Muslims Who Saved Jews During WWII
http://iht.com/articles/ap/2007/11/0...st-Muslims.php

Albania, a small and mountainous country on the southeast coast of the Balkan peninsula, was home to a population of 803,000. Of those only two hundred were Jews. After Hitler’s rise to power in 1933, many Jews found refuge in Albania. No accurate figures exist regarding their number; however, different sources estimate that 600-1,800 Jewish refugees entered that country from Germany, Austria, Serbia, Greece and Yugoslavia, in the hope to continue on to the Land of Israel or other places of refuge.
Following the German occupation in 1943, the Albanian population, in an extraordinary act, refused to comply with the occupier’s ordered to turn over lists of Jews residing within the country’s borders.
Moreover, the various governmental agencies provided many Jewish families with fake documentation that allowed them to intermingle amongst the rest of the population. The Albanians not only protected their Jewish citizens, but also provided sanctuary to Jewish refugees who had arrived in Albania, when it was still under Italian rule, and now found themselves faced with the danger of deportation to concentration camps.

As for you to say that the war in Kosova was a revenge; Grasanins ' Nacertanije' was written in the XIX century and Cubrilovic's "Iselaljavanje Arnauta" ( Expulsion of the Albanians ) before WWII(so how could it have been a revenge for WWII?); also, both of these were issued by the Serbian Academy of Science, meaning they had academic support in Serbia.

Albanians have liters and liters of blood on their hands, starting from 19th century till nowadays. You are far from victims. You just had a good opportunity and spent hell of a lot of heroin money on bribing corrupt scum bags like Wesley Clark, William Walker, Richard Holebrooke and others.... You won the media war back then. That's your advantage. Other than that, you are very famous here in the Balkans, not just Serbia, but also Macedonia, Montenegro and Greece for being crooked and wanting to steal other people's land.

In short: bite the hand that feeds you. That is your policy.

You have to understand that I'm a non-interventionist and I'm not interested in someone else's wars. If I had my way, I'd yank the US out of NATO and the UN.

Indeed there were crimes committed by Albanians, no-one is denying that, but individual crimes and state organized terror are two different things.

The day when the KPS ( Kosovo Police Service ) with the support of the Kosovar Goevernment, launches an ethnic cleansing campaign against the minorities of Kosova, Kosova should be ripped of its right to govern over these regions.

Where's your evidence that those people were being payed?? That's some serious alligations, Amused.

As for the rest, Serbia and its people shouldn't flatter themselves. But it's easy to point the finger on others, when ones doesn't take a look at its own rubbish, that is tenfold.
