Russia seeks int'l police presence in Georgia

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia wants an international police presence in 'security zones' along the line separating Georgia from its breakaway regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Monday.
Spokesman Andrei Nesterenko told a news briefing such a presence, arranged by the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), was a confidence-building measure needed for Russia to withdraw its forces from the disputed zone.

Russia wants the international police in Georgia. They are looking to end the conflict with the wrold watching. I think this is a good idea.
